Stephanie Holland
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Global Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am continually seeking out new ways to hone my therapeutic skills and I am very passionate about the process of lifelong learning. I feel privileged to pursue knowledge in a career that shapes me into a more deeply empathetic and perceptive human and that nurtures my ability to create safety and warmth for those who struggle to feel safe relationally or in their own bodies.
My approach to therapy is holistic, culturally responsive, and depth-oriented. I believe in the collaborative process of therapy, and in empowering clients to take charge of their own healing. I believe in the importance of providing therapy that is emotionally-attuned and client-specific, so clients can feel safe and supported as they engage in deeper exploration and make meaning of their unique experiences. I integrate techniques from mindfulness-based somatic therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, DBT, CBT, attachment theory, and psychodynamic therapy with treatment that focuses on a whole-person approach addressing the mind, the body, and identity factors that are most salient for each individual.
